Passport & Visa Photos
Identity-photo rules can change by document, country, office, and application channel. Read the receiving authority instructions first, then enter those values manually. The tool helps with framing and file preparation; it does not provide biometric approval, official presets, or an acceptance guarantee.

Before preparing an identity photo
Find the receiving authority’s current instructions for the exact application channel. Check digital pixel size, physical size and PPI if given, background, accepted format, file-size rule, pose, and whether glasses or head coverings are addressed. Enter only verified values; no country preset on this site is labelled official.
After export, inspect the actual file at full size and compare its dimensions and bytes with the written rule. A visually tidy crop does not guarantee acceptance.
Check the portrait and the file separately
The maker can crop, rotate, position, resize, and encode a portrait. It cannot judge identity, expression, lighting compliance, biometric proportions, or whether an authority permits edits. The background control fills blank or transparent canvas areas; it does not remove a wall behind a person.
| Portrait check | File check |
|---|---|
| Read the current authority example for pose, face placement, expression, and background. | Enter the specified units and dimensions; confirm the final pixel count. |
| Use a clear original with room around the head and shoulders. | Check accepted format and exact byte limits. |
| Inspect the completed photo without a positioning overlay. | For a print sheet, print at 100% / actual size with fit-to-page disabled. |
Open the photo maker after completing the upload-requirements checklist. A file-size or dimension pass is only a technical check.
