How this result is produced

Each selected PDF is validated, then its pages are copied into one new local document in the order shown. Protected or malformed files are rejected rather than bypassed.

Limits and troubleshooting

  • Password-protected, encrypted, malformed, or restricted documents are rejected.
  • The tool does not bypass passwords, DRM, or permissions.

When one document is rejected, open it in the authorized source application and save a fresh, unprotected PDF. Merge fewer files at a time if the combined page count or memory demand is too high for the device.

Questions people ask

Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

No. Remove protection using the authorized source application first. Exact Size Tools never attempts to bypass document restrictions.

Merging pages does not preserve every document feature

The output is a new document made by copying pages in the displayed order. Bookmarks, embedded attachments, interactive form behavior, and document-level settings may not transfer. This tool does not create a table of contents or validate the meaning of the page content.

Detected digitally signed files are rejected; a page copy cannot preserve the original cryptographic signature. Encrypted files are also rejected. Keep the originals and inspect the merged document in another viewer, including any forms or annotations that matter to your workflow.
