Signature Tools
Signature uploads can fail for different reasons: the canvas dimensions are wrong, the file is too large, or heavy cleanup removes part of the handwriting. Start from a clear original, change only the setting named by the form, and inspect the downloaded image at full size before submission.

Choose the correction the form requires
If the signature is cropped too tightly, begin again with the original and leave breathing room around faint strokes. If its pixels are wrong, resize while watching the preview. Use PNG or WebP when transparency is allowed; use JPG with a solid background only when the receiving form accepts it.
If the dimensions are right but the file is above a stated byte ceiling, use the compressor in Maximum mode after saving the resized signature. Reopen the final download to make sure thin lines remain visible.
Diagnose a rejected signature
| Symptom | Useful correction | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Too much empty paper | Use the Signature Resizer to trim margins, then inspect pale strokes. | Strong monochrome conversion before checking faint ink. |
| Wrong canvas dimensions | Set the required width and height. Contain preserves proportions. | Stretching handwriting to fill an unrelated aspect ratio. |
| Correct pixels, too many bytes | Use Maximum mode, then check both pixels and thin lines. | Using Exact mode for a rule that only specifies a ceiling. |
| Transparent image becomes white | Choose PNG or WebP to retain existing alpha; JPG needs a solid background. | Assuming a photographed white sheet is already transparent. |
This is image preparation. It does not create a cryptographic digital signature, authenticate handwriting, or prove authorization. Keep the original scan and verify the saved image in a separate viewer.
