How this result is produced

Numeric crop percentages, rotation, and flips are applied together from the original decoded source. This avoids repeatedly encoding an already edited result.

Practical example

A 1,600-pixel-wide source cropped 10% from the left loses 160 pixels and is 1,440 pixels wide before any other crop or rotation. Rotating a non-square image by 90° swaps its displayed width and height. Inspect the preview and output dimensions so the subject and aspect ratio still meet the upload rule.

Limits and troubleshooting

  • Crop values are percentages of the decoded source.
  • A new export is encoded once from the source; repeated downloads do not compound edits.

If the preview cannot be created, open the source in another image app and save a fresh JPG, PNG, or WebP. For a very large photo, close unused tabs; if the crop disappears, check that the combined edge percentages still leave a visible area.

Are the crop controls keyboard accessible?

Yes. Every crop boundary is a labelled number input and works without drag gestures.

The order of edits matters

Crop percentages refer to the source edges. An optional aspect ratio then crops the remaining area around its center. Rotation and flips apply to that result; a 90° or 270° turn swaps the output width and height. Crop pairs that remove the whole picture are rejected.

The top preview is the original. Process the image to inspect the actual transformed result, then use Start over to choose another source. Every export starts from the selected original so changing settings does not repeatedly degrade an earlier output.
